Today I presented a video tutorial at PDC 07 2005. In it I showed you the most useful shortcuts and tools for working with the Visual Studio 2008 Toolbar Controls
There are now the buttons (icons) which are pasted over your toolbar. They are default standard buttons that you can see on the toolbar:
New, Open, Open New, View, Profile, Help, Close
When you drag’n’drop them to your toolbar, they are added as standard buttons so they don’t appear visually in your toolbar. When you view your toolbar, you can see the items you added.
The rest of the icons are not standard menu items, but rather individual items you can add (be them for example: buttons, images or any other control) to your toolbar.
Let’s say you want to add an “Edit” item to the toolbar – you can do this by dragging’n’drop it. This will add the item to your toolbar in the same way as you added the original New, Open, Open New, View, Profile, Help, Close standard items.
