This tool was designed to be used as a tool to convert SF files to RTF files for use in Word documents. Microsoft Word’s RTF format is closely associated with the Standard Format. SF Converter uses the RTF format for the conversion. If the formatting is to be changed, a format must be set for the fields. You can use any set of format options you like. For example, you could have two text fields defined as bold and italic, set them as though they were one text field, set the text property to italic, etc. The SF Converter also accepts the SF fields as separate pieces and can change the formatting of the fields as a whole. All SF tags are preserved in the RTF output.
2. SF Converter works by reading every line of the input file and converting the lines into a Word document. Each line is identified by its tag and each tag is converted. SF Converter converts each tagged line to a line of the output file.

The SG Converter is a utility for converting SG documents (mostly created in WordPerfect 5.0 or 6.0) into Microsoft Word 5.0/6.0 formatted documents. Basically, it allows you to have your WordPerfect SG documents formatted in a way similar to “native” WORD. It understands document-level SG tags, and it can perform file-level SG commands. In other words, it knows where to put the sections, where to place the headers and footers, as well as where to find which sections to boldface.
