Converting RAW files to JPEGs with Adobe Camera Raw
A RAW file is a file format that contains all the data captured from a digital camera sensor, not just the standard red, green, and blue channels (color components) that your camera displays on your monitor. A RAW file also includes the camera’s unique proprietary file format. (I talk about different file formats in Chapter 4.)
When you place a file in a RAW format on your computer and open it in a photo editor, you can use the tools of the program to modify the image, but a RAW file is the original digital photograph. Therefore, any adjustments you make to a file in a RAW format aren’t permanent until you save the file as a JPEG.
You can use Adobe Camera Raw to make conversion from RAW to JPEG files in Adobe Photoshop or other editing programs. You can find more on Adobe Camera Raw in Chapter 4.
When you’re editing images in Photoshop, you can convert from RAW files to JPEGs, depending on how far into the editing process you are.
To open a RAW file for editing in Photoshop, you simply click the image in the folder where you saved it. After the image opens in the image window, simply drag the area of the photo that you want to edit over the RAW file. You get a preview of the image you’ve selected.
If you’ve saved a RAW file in a directory other than where you stored your last photograph, you see a small arrow that usually appears in the upper right corner of the image window to help you locate the file

This cause having come before the Court on cross-motions for Summary Judgment, which motions were supported by memoranda of law, the Court finds, concludes and orders as follows:
1) This adversary proceeding was commenced by a complaint filed by Fred O. Wright on February 13, 1981. The complaint objects to the discharge of the Debtor pursuant to Sections 523, 727 and 1112 of the Bankruptcy Code, 11 U.S.C. §§ 523, 727 and 1112. The Debtor filed an answer on February 23, 1981. On March 18, 1981, Wright filed a motion for Summary Judgment. The Debtor filed a response to the motion for Summary Judgment on March 24, 1981, and Wright filed a reply on April 14, 1981. The matter has been fully briefed and is ripe for decision.
2) On October 3, 1980, the Debtor filed a petition under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code. The Debtor’s Chapter 11 was converted to Chapter 7 on January 18, 1981. Wright filed this complaint to object to the discharge of the Debtor pursuant to Sections 523, 727 and 1112 on February 13, 1981.
3) The legislative history of Section 1112 of the Bankruptcy Code is set forth in the note found at page 378 of the Bankruptcy Reform Act of 1978, Pub.L.No.95-598, 92 Stat. 2549. The history reveals that the purpose of the new Section 1112 is to deal with the problem of the “dead-end,” unproductive case and to eliminate the need for court delays.
