Receive response from successful execution in Rails

Right now I’m debugging an issue with my ActiveResource class I have for a Rails app. I have a method create that should be returning the instance of the class, and it is returning undefined instead.
Instead of just specifying a text message or something to the console, how can I get the response I would get if I were doing a normal HTTP request (ie, a response with a 200, and an actual object)?
The create method just has this:
