Note: This software can be used with any version of the ATA hard disk drive. What’s New In IBM Feature Tool?
1. In the Feature Tool, you can make some significant changes to the
drives. For example, you can change the most important setting of the
drive: the speed to use for data transfer. This is done by configuring the
Drive as either a “Standard” or “Ultra” DMA mode. Another setting that may
be adjusted is the read/write cache; either enabling or disabling it. A
feature that has been added is a temperature reading (in Celsius and
Fahrenheit) that you can view on the display. The other settings and
features have not changed.
2. There are three ways to run Feature Tool:

shortcut to run it when you are logged into the system. After a system
restart, the new feature settings will automatically appear.
