Performance bottleneck with a WHERE clause on table variable
I am creating a list of items to return from a stored procedure which has a lot of WHERE clauses. The rows returned by the stored procedure are about 10,000 in number. The table variable containing the list of items only has about 2000 rows. Here is the problem…
The time it takes to get data from the table variable is almost 30 times faster than the time to get data from the stored procedure. I am assuming that this is a problem with the WHERE clauses. Does anyone have any advice on how to speed this up. I am using SQL Server 2005.
