The paint bucket
The paint bucket tool, shown in Figure 8-5, is one of the most important tools in Photoshop. You use it to place a fill color on a selected area, or you use it to paint on a layer. Depending on the application of a layer, a fill color can have a powerful effect on a design.
You can click on a fill color in the Layers palette or a floating toolbox icon to display the floating color palette as shown in Figure 8-5.

Edit Images in Photoshop Elements
Images can be edited in Photoshop Elements in different ways:
As a layered image by using the Layers Panel
By using the Brush tool to apply a filter, change the color or multiply the image’s value.

Creating a new image
