PDF N-UP Maker is the creation of booklets based on PDF files. PDF N-UP Maker is based on the three following commands
– addpage,
– move,
– split.
PDF N-UP Maker is a small but powerful batch converter to create practically any kind of booklet, as shown by the following examples:
• A letter in a balloon
• A complex letter in a balloon (to illustrate the correction capabilities of PDF N-UP Maker)
• Complete booklets
PDF N-UP Maker can also print short text on the pages of booklet using the internal PDF N-UP Maker engine. Some examples are:
• A short biography of a famous person
• A short contact details sheet
Example 1 : A simple letter in a balloon
First, PDF N-UP Maker has to find the center of the balloon. In your PDF file, you can find the position of the balloons by the text “enter text at this point” then the text is the displacement of the balloon.
In the file example.pdf, there is a simple letter in a balloon. Then, if you take the screenshot of the file (example.pdf), you can see the page number at the position the letter was printed. This page number is the position where PDF N-UP Maker will add a new page in the booklet.
After that, the rectangle is drawn and the letter is created on it.
Finally, the letter is moved to the bottom of the page. So, it is printed at the bottom of the page.
Example 2 : A complex letter in a balloon
PDF N-UP Maker can be asked to add three pages at the same time to create a more complex letter in a balloon.
First, PDF N-UP Maker has to find the center of the balloon. In the file example.pdf, there is a complex letter in a balloon. Then, you can see the page number of the letter at the position the balloon was printed. This page number is the position where PDF N-UP Maker will add a new page in the booklet.
