SMAX Crack + With Key Free Download
SMAX Crack Mac: Disk Loader/Unloader is a DOS driver for the Windows 95/98/Me/2000 and DOS compatible SoftMAX extended capacity drive. It is included with the SoftMAX DrivePak, a special disk imaging package that was designed to provide a more high-speed and reliable method of creating, formatting, and repairing extended capacity disks.
SMAX Crack Mac includes new “FreeForm” automatic formatting, including AutoFormat from GrubDisk, allowing you to create a complete drive with a single batch format operation. It also automatically adjusts the file system formatting parameters and adds a single FAT, mini-FAT, and compressed file system to any DOS disk, providing the Windows 95-compatible FAT file system to all normal and extended capacity DOS disks. SMAX Cracked 2022 Latest Version can also create extended capacity ext2 and ext3 volumes, including encrypted ext2, ext3, and encrypted ext3 volumes.
SMAX can also automatically convert any DOS disk to a MAXI extended capacity disk by adjusting the EOT parameter (last sector in a track) before the disk is written to. SMAX allows the MAXI extended capacity disk to be read and written to as a regular DOS drive. As with every DOS disk, it is automatically mounted read-only and any DOS partitions are mounted read-only.
SMAX saves disk space by allowing the MAXI extended capacity disk to be read as a conventional DOS disk, so that the file system and operating system software only need to be loaded once. It can also be set to automatically mount it read-only for extra protection when it is not being used.
SMAX includes a new 1.9 MB sector sized MiniFAT Fat Volume, which is compatible with the MiniFAT software from LoadStar. It can also be used as a FAT, FAT32, or FAT32 Volume anywhere on a DOS formatted disk, so that it may be accessed as a FAT volume, even on an EXTENDED capacity disk.
SMAX is loaded automatically when the computer is restarted from the DOS Extensions and other DOS-compatible BIOS/OS.
SMAX is a stand-alone driver. It has no dependencies on other DOS drivers.
If installed as a legacy driver, SMAX will remove the HD380, “PH1200” and “PH1300” devices.
SMAX is not installed under Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000. If the DOS Extensions have been installed, it is loaded by DOSExtensions.SYS, which can be executed under Windows 95/
SMAX License Key Full
SMAX is a memory resident driver which writes to (or reads from) the BIOS disk interrupt vector 13 to (or from) change the EOT parameter of a MAXI formatted disk. For some combinations of system hardware and software, MAXI disks are limited to 72 sectors and some DOS disk operations are limited to 256 bytes. SMAX v1.0 and earlier can only handle 72 sector disks, is limited to DOS read operations, is limited to 512 byte DOS write operations, and is limited to DOS read operations if the read sector offset is in the 12th sector.
SMAX v1.1 and later can handle 72 sector MAXI disks, and does not need to be limited to DOS read operations. SMAX v1.1 and later can handle DOS write operations of up to 512 bytes when the offset is in the 12th sector.
SMAX v2.0 and later can handle 72 sector MAXI disks, and does not need to be limited to DOS read operations. SMAX v2.0 and later can handle DOS write operations of up to 512 bytes when the offset is in the 12th sector.
SMAX v2.1 and later can handle 72 sector MAXI disks and 256 byte DOS sectors. It can handle all DOS operations regardless of sector offset, even reads/writes where the disk offset is in the 12th sector. It does NOT modify the EOT parameter of a disk when a DOS read or write operation occurs, and the EOT parameter is automatically modified to match the increased disk size, as expected by the MAXI disk protocol.
SMAX v2.2 and later can handle 72 sector MAXI disks and 256 byte DOS sectors, can be used in both RAM drive and hard disk modes, and can handle all DOS write operations.
SMAX v2.3 and later can handle 72 sector MAXI disks, does NOT need to be limited to DOS read operations, and does NOT need to be limited to DOS write operations. SMAX v2.3 and later can handle DOS write operations of up to 512 bytes when the offset is in the 12th sector.
Note: SMAX v2.2 and above may not work on all hardware configurations as initial testing shows that it sometimes prevents the system from booting the system setup program. Please try it before trying it in a production environment. It is NOT recommended to use SMAX v2.2 and above in an embedded system or application that is not meant for general use as

SMAX is a DOS resident memory patch to the DOS disk interrupt handler to support extended capacity DOS formatted disks. This means it will work on diskettes (0x0C) labeled “Diskette” and “Diskette Plus”, or any other diskette DOS formatted as “Diskette” (0x1E).
SMAX works with DOS 2.x and above only.
SMAX is not fully compatible with the DOS DISK.SYS Drivers. This means only for DOS formatted disks.
SMAX is recommended for 0x80 and 0x100 drives formatted as MAXI extended capacity. If SMAX is in a program header with DOS FAT, it will not work (required to be DOS resident).
SMAX does not alter the firmware of any supported DOS or MAXI drives.

DOS Maxi Diskette
SMAX will patch the BIOS to recognize the MAXI extended capacity disk format. Any read/write operation will read/write the MAXI formatted disk. Any Extended Capacity DOS formatted diskettes will be read/write by SMAX. All free form formatted MAXI disks will be read/write by SMAX, including the dual label Freeform MAXI disks.
SMAX will read/write Freeform MAXI disks from the DOS FAT, not the MBR.
SMAX will not alter the MBR
SMAX will not alter the EOT sector
SMAX will not alter the initial address of the diskette
SMAX will read/write with the maximum head settings
SMAX will not alter the density of the diskette
SMAX will read/write 32 bit disks
SMAX will read/write 16 bit disks
SMAX will read/write 8 bit disks
SMAX will read/write diskettes with less than 8 bit sector
SMAX will read/write diskettes with more than 8 bit sector
SMAX will read/write diskettes with a bad sector
SMAX will read/write diskettes with a locked sector
SMAX will read/write diskettes with invalid head info
SMAX will read/write diskettes using the DOS address map
SMAX does not alter the DOS header
SMAX does not alter the DOS boot sector

What’s New In SMAX?
SMAX, short for System Manager Xtended, replaces an existing DOS extended capacity disk (DOS 3.2 x or later) with the full size and capacity of the MAXI formatted disk.
SMAX is designed to work with MAXI disk/partitioned systems (DOS 3.1 x, 4.0 x, or 4.5 x) with free space or extended capacity.
SMAX patches into the interrupt 13h, which is immediately after the disk interrupt vector and is used for accessing hard disk drives. It changes the EOT (end of track, or last sector in a track) parameter to match the MAXI extended capacity disk’s EOT value to support transparent access to all the MAXI formatted sectors.
This is accomplished by patching into the disk interrupt handler, and making changes to the system BIOS disk parameters.
Specifically, after initializing the system, SMAX checks the DISK_HANDLER register to see if the 16-bit integer at the address DISK_HANDLER + 0x60 was originally 0xFF before it was changed by the MAXI Disk version BIOS/hardware in the disk initialization routine. The disk initialization routine will always set it to 0xFF.
This can be seen if you set a “print” label and watch the interrupt handler be called for a DOS Extended Capacity disk. If you change the DISK_HANDLER interrupt vector to something else, you will not see the label printed.
SMAX puts the EOT value into the segment address 0xFFF4 instead of 0xF4 (the actual value in the BIOS/hardware disk interrupts is 0x00E in Intel and 0x00E in Fujitsu systems). SMAX then sets the EOT value in segment 0x00F8 to match the MAXI extended capacity disk’s EOT value. This makes the EOT value invisible to DOS programs, but transparent to a MAXI formatted disk.
Note that it is not required for the BIOS to detect the disk to be MAXI formatted. It can be any disk format (DOS Extended Capacity, Windows NTFS, FAT32, etc.)
The next part of the bootup sequence is handled by the INT 13h, interrupt handler, which turns the EOT to 0xF4. Then it checks the DISK_HANDLER, and reads into the disk directly from the MAXI extended capacity disk.
The last part is the EOT
