Turns out that the “Top 25” playlists are not correct.
Apple uses “Top X playlists” and Spotify uses “Newest X playlists” which is obviously not the same thing.
In the current version of Spotify Studio, if you just update the playlists, you will not receive the top tracks from Spotify as expected. To receive the correct playlists, you have to disable and re-enable the playlist in the MediaFlow page:
