The description of the bug on the OnStar website reads: “Expected service actions that require manual movement of the lock button result in the OnStar feature repeatedly sounding the horn.”
Ford claims that although it is possible for the person to use the lock button and still hear the horn, they shouldn’t.
‘Hears’ doesn’t entirely cover it though, as many people use the horn as an alarm system, and so onStar’s fix didn’t cure all problems with the car’s horn.
