Step 1. Open Photoshop Elements

Step 2. Open the Image that you wish to edit and increase its resolution
Navigate to the image that you wish to increase the resolution of. The best way to do this is by first moving into the Clone Stamp (or the Auto) tool. In this tool you can quickly and easily apply a filter to the image.
Click on the image to open the image in the Tools panel of the image window.
Right-click on the image and choose Image > Adjustments > Adjust Size
Alternatively, you can use the following keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + I
After clicking on the Adjust Size dialog box you will now see a dialog box titled as “Properties”. Click on the arrow in the bottom right corner.
Step 3. Select Use Filter: Unsharp Mask
The Unsharp Mask filter can add sharpness to edges and other parts of your image. It comes with a limited version of the professional version and is usually not recommended in many cases, but it can be used as a last resort if all other methods fail.
You will notice that the filter is listed as “Unsharp Mask with Radius”.
Activate the filter by clicking the pencil icon to the right of the text.
