I am trying to make a backup and restore on a 3rd party software (SPSS) from a system folder (where I have a backup on the same folder). I can’t touch the original folder where I store my backups, so I need to use a temporary file.
I have found this thread : How to create a temporary file in Python? but I can’t get it to work on Python 2.7. I have also tried with “os.mkstemp” from Python but it’s not usable because the temp file’s name is a date. I will need a unique name for the backup in the same time.
