Measurements of Heart Weight, Girth, etc

So I am relatively new to the biking and fitness world, but I have read many forums and articles that measure some pretty broad aspects of bikers and that fitness. I am curious if they also measure things like heart weight, girth, and lung capacity. Are they universally used and if not what measurement would you use?

A:

Yes, they do measure body weight and BMI for example, as well as body fat and muscle weight. Unfortunately, however, the (health) effects of those measurements have yet to be proven in many cases. Do keep in mind though, that this does not mean that those measurements are not useful.
As for the girth and lung capacity, for example, I doubt that most cycle clubs use those measurements as a standard gauge of success. Keep in mind though, that there is an art to any sort of cycling and fitness related measurement. I am not really sure how it works in the community you are trying to reach, so I cannot tell if what you are after is even possible. For example, not everyone has the same health goals, and some may only look for fitness when it concerns their sport (just look at the US distance cycling scene).

Q:

How to use PIXI in Scala?

I am trying to use the PIXI library to create a 2D game in scala. I am finding it challenging to use it as the documentation uses JavaScript, and the book is not helpful as it is written in PHP. I would appreciate someone explaining how to use PIXI in scala so that I don’t have to convert my code from JS to Scala.

A:

I found the solution to the problem and I hope this helps others.
The instructions in the book are valid. They are just in PHP. But using the answers here we were able to replace the PHP with Scala.
Then for every line of JS that used a global variable, we had to change it to “this.globalVariableName”.
One line of PHP example:
$this->backgroundFile = \Pix_ImageFactory::factory($this->imageFolder.’/’.$this->backgroundFile);

Becomes in Scala:
val this

Removed the.txt file again and now I’m getting a different answer:
openEHR is a community based framework focusing on adoption and enhancements of openEHR specifications. It is an open source project with active development and documentation in the form of user guides, tutorials, and references.
I am not sure why you wanted to remove the.txt file. It is not needed nor used in any way.
You can see the source code here. This code is for the PostgreSQL backend, that should be running on your local PC.
If you would like to use this feature, you have to open 2 databases on your local PC. One with the extension.sql and one with the extension.sql.sqlite. The code will automatically create a username and password for you. So you cannot access the database with the name “your_project_name” but only “your_username_here” and “your_password_here”.
If you need help with the SQL code, just write a comment below.
