Our Local Habitat Designer

A couple of months ago, while I was in London I stopped by Habitat to have a look at their new line of kids’ furniture. I remember really liking their dinner and bedding sets when I was a kid, so I was excited to see what they had now. I met with the designers there and was immediately struck by their enthusiasm, as they have such a great design aesthetic. They encouraged me to visit them and their website when I returned to the States and, finally, I did!

I love their furniture and especially their bedding, because it’s just so pretty! I found this bedding set on their website for the kids’ room at our new house, and I just love it!

Also, I was introduced to Amanda who was their new kids’ designer, and I couldn’t help but get a glimpse at her work. I loved her simple, geometric style, and the creativity with which she incorporates animals into her designs! Her work is simply wonderful!

You should check out their line of kids’ furniture! If you’re interested in seeing what the local designer is working on at the moment, I asked Amanda about her next projects and she’s currently working on a line of artful toys for Knee high.

Also, the website is all in English, so if you don’t have a ton of time you should be able to find what you’re looking for.

The first picture is of Amanda’s artful toy line for Knee high. It’s a series of teddy bears made out of skulls! This is a great example of her style and also of Knee high’s decision to get out of the toy box and to explore more. I love that!
